Evaluation question6:Technologies
Hardware
-Windows PC - running a GTX 960 2GB and i7 running at 3.6 gHz (used to run and render stuff from After Effects)
-Bedside lamps (for the eye closeup shots)
-Tripod
-KRK G2 Rokit Powered
Software
-Adobe After Effects CC
-Adobe Premier CC
-Adobe photoshop
-Ableton Live 9 (64 bit)
Online
-Blogger
-Youtube
-coggle it
-thinglink
Research
The main source of information we used came from youtube. We sat through hours of videos to understand the tools of Photoshop, After Effects and Premier.
Blogger was the main method to monitor and record everything we did
Planning
The majority of our was done on paper. All of us were able to draw fairy well,So we found it easy to express our idea in paper. Some of the ideas were done in Photoshop though, the image we create of the city helped explain or vision of the world on IDENT,even though we never used them as the final cut
Filming
Filming was quite a strange process,as we were not clear as where we wanted to go for quite a wile. The actual footage we did take in the end were of high quality, and were taken by Praew. The tripod was used educationally to get stable shots, but we wanted a more shaky effect most of the time. We tended to lean towards the warp stabilizer in the post processing stage.
The bed lamps were perfect in getting shots with controlled lighting.
Post production
Rather than really focusing on the camera work, the magic really happened in post production. We started with drawing and painting possibilities on Photoshop, and once we had good footage, we spent the majority of the time animating and working with After Effects. As we finished that, we sent it to Praew so she could piece all the separate footage together. The reason why I mentioned the GPU and CPU of the PC was because it was important for us here. It saved us time in terms of rendering, and working with After Effects was not a problem, something that would not be possible with the size of work we were dealing with if the computer did not have a powerful GPU.

We exported the edited footage into quicktime lossless files, then it was all exported a rendered from Premier in H.264 mp4 format.
While Praew was piecing all the footage together, I worked on the score for the opening. We both finished our jobs roughly at the same time, so once Praew had the structure and arrangement for the video, she sent me a low quality version, so I was able to deal with the sound design aspect.
Evaluation question5:how did your production skills develop
Code and Convention: 2+1
although you can call me a Starwar geek i don't quite understand what is sci-fi thriller when the course started. We as a team have comeup with alot of ideas and plans some good, some bad but I endup understanding what is sci-fi thrillers which make me help create the plot of the movie.
Planning and organisation:3+3
because my main role at first is the prop creator my work is to create props and other tools for the group so i don't really care what my friends are planning. However in the process of making this movie I start to share idea of the plot and start getting involve in making this plan which in the end I become another person who help my group creat a plot too.
camera work:1+4
From knowing nothing to being able to name the style of the camera work and try shoot it myself and create a good outcome. From what i learn i feel that i have develop alot since the start of the course.
Visual effects:0+3
I have know idea how to create a visual effect when i join the course but in the end i understand how to make a visual effect.Eventhough my one is not so great but i will keep practicing it.
Editing: 0+5
in this project I start from scratch. From knowing nothing about editing to start playing around with Premier to start create a series of footatage to making a storyline and also adjusting the light and sound, I think that i learn alot about editing from this project.
Creative comfident:5+2
Because I already love to ceating a plots and storylines alone which most of them is about love story that rather end so good or endup making people cry,I start to think of other kind of theme which is sci-fi. Eventhough it was hard at first but when george show us his inspiraqtion video it also inspire me to start getting more creative.
Evaluation question3:How does your opeing engage with audiences
My target audience includes both males and females aged 16 to 20. This was because the film features a female protagonist, which would allow the female audience create an easy-to-grasp connection. For the male audience, we wanted to attract them through the film revolving around machinery, and carrying the theme of futuristic sci-fi, similar to many video games of the likes of Crysis, Deus Ex etc. that seem popular among males.
The reason for the age group is because towards the younger audiences in this age range are at the stage of life of finding out about themselves. The film and the film opening holds the theme of identity, which would allow for associations with the audience.
with website call YouGov we do soe more research on the characteristic of our audience.

Evaluation question2:How does your opening represent social group or issues?
1.Portraying the main character was fairly straightforward for us,as we wanted to audoence to interpret the main character as someone with an ambiguous background.
the age of the character is supposedly close to our target audience,so around 16 to 20. the ethnicity of the protagonist is left ambiguous in order to allow for a wider possible association

the protagonist running is a portrayal of running away from our own problems
2.the sound we make and used were there to establish the scene of somethingthat is not human, but mechiene. This raises the theme of human and mechiene combining,as that is what happening to the main character.
3.the protagonist foe our opening is a material representation,a trope, for the struggles and inner conflicts that human face, particularly teenagers and young adults.she addresses the question of identity, and learning about yourself as a person. Many teenagers would be able to relate to this,as this is a inner conflict that many of them might've faced.

Need improvement
This is based on the comment that our teacher classmate give us
-the shots did not lineup
-the city shot did not relate to the other shots
-unfinish photoshop painting (the colour look lifeless)
from all the comment that we recieve we realise that we have alot of work to do.we have to rearrange the shots, repaint the photoshop and film more shots

create shots with photoshop and after effect
some of the shots are make by photoshop and after effect
This is one of our first shots which we use photoshop and after effect to make it.The outcome is very good thanks to our editor, but, this is one of the scene which are not fit the story so we might endup not using it or make it as a opening of our video which we might but the title in front of the shot and blur the shot too.
this shots is the biggest, most epic and most work in photoshop we ever make.when we make this shot we though it will become anothe simple city with possibility of not including this into the final cut. However because of the image loook like futuristic city which is what we are looking forso we can't affort to abandon this shots.we also add a 3D flying spaceship into the shot too.We will include this shot into the final cut as a very first scene in the movie.

Music for the movie
Making music
Music is very important for the movie but not much people know it. We have a choice to use other people music or create our own.We end up with create our own music because we don't want to deal with the legal stuff.Furthermore by create our own music we can choose which sound we want to put in and we can make it fit to the movie easier.
The video above shows the second half of the music writing process, taking about an hour and a half. Some of the glitching sounds came from a project we started only an hour before, but because of a bug the project file crashed, resulting in us starting a new one thinking that the first file was lost.
All the sounds heard are built completely from the ground up, although they were not all made specifically for the project in mind.

the result was something very simple and minimal, but it contain enough element of sound to express what we want
soundtrack2 + sound design
Once we progressed further with the editing of the video, we finally had a clearer idea of what we wanted to achieve with the sound. We decided to create a sound track that was inspired by the soundtrack used for the trailer of Cyberpunk 2077.
We wanted something that was more exciting and gripping, in order to connect the soundtrack to the genre of thriller.

casting
we want our cyborg appearance to be European so we come up with two people that may fit the role.
However we need only one...
1st contestant Xiana
xiana have the look that we want.also her actingskill not bad at all.
2nd contestant tanya
Although Tanya have some Asian look but her skill
of acting and expression is perfect.
It is hard to choose which one will be our cyborg. However sadly xiana is not available when we start filming so tanya become our cyborg
